With the patronage of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, LA PRIMULA in San Quirino (PN) played a leading role in the 1
0th edition of Italian Cuisine in the World, with the theme “Italian cuisine between health, culture and innovation”, an event that celebrates Italian culinary excellence and tradition on a global level.
Michelin-starred chef
Andrea Canton and his staff, in collaboration with the
Metro Cooking Academy,
Gastronometro, presented some iconic dishes from the Friulian tradition to a hundred future chefs.
In the words of the Honourable
Emanuele Loperfido: "A commendable choice by
Consul Elena Clemente (also from Pordenone) of the Michelin-starred restaurant LA PRIMULA, a modern interpreter of our cuisine, capable of exporting the best of local gastronomy to the world, a sense of belonging with which I identify strongly. We travel a lot, but Pordenone and the whole area are always in our thoughts and it is right to be proud ambassadors in every respect. With great Italian pride and, of course, pride in Pordenone, the initiative has conveyed to us the message of what
Italian cuisine - a candidate for UNESCO heritage status - brings with it: taste, culture, health and innovation in tradition. This heritage is already recognised and appreciated throughout the world, but we must continue to enhance and promote it."
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Consul General Elena Clemente, and the Honourable Emanuele Loperfido, Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee and member of the Italian Delegation to the OSCE PA.
